Ashanti Shequoiya-Douglas, also known as Ashanti, was born on the 13th of October 1981 on the 13th of October, 1980 in Glen Cove New York United States. She is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Ashanti began her career as a teenager, and was ultimately signed to Murder Inc. Records by 2002.
